1. Scope

These terms govern all pre-order and merchandise transactions through the Sankofa Nights online shop. By placing an order you enter into a binding agreement with Sankofa Nights V.O.F., Wilhelminasingel 66B, 6221BK Maastricht, Netherlands (KvK: 98189107, VAT: NL868392522B01).

2. Pre-orders

All belt orders placed through this shop are pre-orders. Your payment confirms your reservation. Production begins once all pre-orders have been collected. We will notify you by email when your belt has been produced and is ready to ship. Estimated delivery will be communicated as soon as a production timeline is confirmed.

3. Pricing & Payment

All prices are displayed in euros and are inclusive of applicable VAT. Payment is processed securely at checkout. Goods remain the property of Sankofa Nights until full payment is received.

4. Delivery

We currently ship to Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium only. Shipping costs and estimated delivery times will be shown at checkout once belts are in production. We will contact you by email with tracking information when your order ships.

5. Returns & Cancellations

Because each belt is produced to order, returns and exchanges are not permitted once production has started, in accordance with Article 6:230p sub f of the Dutch Civil Code (custom-made goods). If you wish to cancel your pre-order before production begins, contact us at sankofa.nights@gmail.com. Pre-order cancellations are handled on a case-by-case basis.

6. Liability

Sankofa Nights accepts liability only for intentional or grossly negligent damages. We are not liable for minor errors, indirect losses, or circumstances beyond our control.

7. Governing Law

Dutch law applies to all transactions. The courts of Maastricht hold jurisdiction for any disputes.

Data We Collect

When you place an order we collect your name, email address, shipping address and payment details. This information is used solely to process your pre-order and communicate with you about its status.

Data Sharing

We share your information only with service providers required to fulfil your order: payment processors (Stripe Inc., USA (GDPR-compliant)), and shipping partners. We do not sell your data to third parties.

This site loads fonts via Google Fonts (Google LLC, USA). Your IP address is transmitted to Google when fonts load. See policies.google.com/privacy.

Cookies & Storage

We do not set tracking cookies. Your shopping bag is stored locally in your browser (localStorage) and is never shared with third parties.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data at any time. Contact us at sankofa.nights@gmail.com to exercise these rights.

Data Retention

We store your order data for the period required by Dutch tax law (7 years) and delete all other personal data once your order has been fulfilled.
